I’m very pleased to announce the promotions of Chris Stadther and Kevin Fournier to Director of Operations and Director of Formations, respectively. These are both recognitions of the amazing contributions they’ve made to Lightspeed and to what we can look forward to in the future.
As de facto Director of Operations, Chris built the back end of Lightspeed Saber competition, crafting the scoring app we now use, replicating our competition data system and automating it, and creating our RSVP system. Now director in name, Chris will continue to refine his systems and bring even greater value to Lightspeed, and we cannot thank him enough for all his efforts, but we’ll try. Thank you, Chris!!!

As Oregon squadron leader and founder, Kevin Fournier developed the fan favorite Annihilation team bout system, including its digitally integrated scoreboard. Since his start with Lightspeed, Kevin has acquired knowledge in all areas of our league, from techniques, to reffing, to competition, and more, all of which makes him ideal as the new Director of Formations. As DoF, Kevin will interface with new Formations and encourage their progress into full Squadrons. Thank you, Kevin, for all your contributions to Lightspeed, and we’re looking forward to what you’ll do in this new role.
