Keep your joints loose. This imparts less force on your opponent and ON YOU. You’ll be doing Lightspeed Saber fencing for a long long time!

Relax your ring and pinky fingers just as you’re making contact on your attack. This allows the weapon to torque in your hand, reducing the attack force.

You’ll notice that none of these techniques actually SLOW YOU DOWN. They do less harm to your opponent and less harm TO YOU. Be nice to yourself!

SCRAPING ATTACK

Press the tip of your blade into the floor then drag it over to your opponent’s sole.

SMART TARGETING

The head, lead hand, and front foot are protected, and tactically advantageous targets. The lead hand and front foot are your most accessible targets, and the head is worth more. Go for them!
