A sequential team bout is called a skirmish. A team specifically setup for skirmishes is called a wing. All the standard individual fencing rules are the same in a skirmish.
STANDARD SKIRMISH
FORMAT
Team pool — every member of a team fences every member of the other team, one-on-one, one at a time, until all combinations are completed.
Every match in the skirmish goes until match point or match time is reached.
The team with the highest score at the end of the skirmish is the winner.
MATCH TIME
The match time of every bout in the skirmish is 1m45s plus the leftover time from the previous bout.
MATCH POINT
The match point of the skirmish starts at 8, then goes up by an additional 8 points every bout.
HIGHLANDER SKIRMISH
The rules of highlander skirmish are the same as Standard except every member of the team must use a different weapon class, and may only use that weapon class for the entire skirmish.
