ELIGIBILITY
These are the basic eligibility requirements for being a recognized Lightspeed Saber squadron (you will provide this information once you add the membership product to your cart):
Your squadron must meet at least once a month at a regular interval for the purpose of practicing Lightspeed Saber fencing. Ideally you will meet at least once a week (if your team has a practice or competitive season in which you are not active for certain parts of the year, that is acceptable).
Your squadron must have at least one social media platform or web presence, ie Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter (Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter are recommended).
In addition to your team’s Lightspeed Saber municipal name (ie Lightspeed Saber Dallas), your squadron must have its own unique name, preferably one that does not use any copyrighted terms (ie Jedi, Sith, Skywalker, lightsaber, etc).
Your team should have at least one team member in the Lightspeed Saber Discord (ideally all of them) to act as a representative.
Secondary requirements (not needed right away)
A team logo
A set of high quality photos, to be updated once a year
Submission of regular videos of team performance
RESPONSIBILITIES
As squadron leader / base captain, you must meet the following responsibilities to keep your team in good standing:
Make sure that all participants— even first-timers and temporary participants— sign the online waiver or have their guardian sign the online waiver if they are under 18 years old.
Make sure that all participants follow the safety rules, or insurance coverage and membership will be revoked.
Serve as a good example of the Code of Conduct & Understanding, encourage its implementation, and enforce it if necessary.
