THIS IS LIGHTSPEED SABER IRVING
AKA Starbird Saber. The squad is primarily made up of beginning fighters without athletic backgrounds. Team captain Russ Mitchell is a former medieval historian, and a Feldenkrais Method Practitioner, who focuses on developing fighters who are highly-technical but able to express their individual personalities while fencing. Co-captain Kat Laurange inspires the team with her contagious enthusiasm (and relentless love of footwork).
Join them for Torture Tuesday, a 2-hour technical intensive; Tough Love Thursday, which is the general class, often involving bouting and ref practice, and Sadistic Saturday, which is focused on individual skill development and helping fighters overcome mechanical deficits and problems with technique.
