Join our Discord and international Facebook group, and put yourself on our base map. Introduce yourself in the Discord. We can help a lot more if you’re already on our radar. Tell us where you’re located, what your sport or martial background is, and what is your favorIte lightsaber?
RECRUIT
Get a few friends or like-minded individuals to start your squadron.
ARM
Arm yourselves with basic lightsabers from our store or elsewhere.
LEARN
Sign up for our online learning program to gain basic knowledge and skills, and pass your experience on to your team members. Or, learn the material together for free.
DRILL
Start performing basic and safe sequences and drills together so you can get ready for the real thing.
SOCIALIZE
Decide on a name for your squadron and then establish yourself on Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms.
EQUIP
Get yourself and your members equipped for sparring, and pool money together to buy a few sets of loaner equipment you can offer to newcomers. You can also order a custom equipment package.
SPAR
Learn the safety rules, start sparring, and then start running harder practice drills.
ESTABLISH
Decide on a regular practice schedule and publish it to your socials.
TEST
Learn the rules of competitive Lightspeed Saber and pass the basic rules exam.
BOUT
Now that your members know the rules, hold your first self-refereed matches. Record your matches and add them to our Highlights Dropbox.
REPRESENT
Create a logo for your squadron. The button below leads to a few examples of Squadron logos.
OFFICIATE
Learn how to be a referee and pass the Level One Referee Exam.
CHECK
Make sure you’ve met all registration requirements:
- You have at least four members.
- You have a team name, logo, socials, and a regular practice schedule.
- Your captain has passed the rules exam and referee exams.
- All current members have read and agreed to the rules of conduct and signed the Lightspeed Saber waiver.
REGISTER
Pay your dues, and officially register your squadron!
REPORT IN
Lightspeed Saber staff will setup a team Discord channel for you in the Lightspeed Saber server. Welcome. You’ve made it!
